Description
This Shrimp Scampi and the sauce is so good, serve it with crusty bread to fully soak up its delicious sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. deveined, shrimp, peeled and butterflied with tails
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup oil
- 1 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T. minced garlic
- 10 T. unsalted butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- Juice from 2 lemons
- 1/2 chicken broth
- 2 T. chopped Italian parsley
Steps
- Dredge the shrimp in flour. Heat oil in pan over high heat. When oil is hot but not smoking, add shrimp and saute for 2-3 minutes or until just turning brown. Saute shrimp in batch, careful not to crowd the shrimp. Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.
- Stir in wine, Worcestershire sauce and garlic. When combined, stir in half of the butter, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Return the shrimp to the pan. Stir in the lemon juice and broth and return to a boil.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove shrimp and place on a warmed serving dish.
