Description
Make this fabulous veggie casserole for your next dinner. It's great served with your favorite chicken, pork or beef main dish.
Ingredients
- 1 T. butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1 T. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. ground mustard
- 1/4 t. pepper
- 2/3 c. milk
- 15.25 oz. whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 c. corn flakes cereal
- 1 T. butter, melted
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a 10 inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook onion and bell pepper in butter 4 - 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp-tender.
- Stir in flour, salt, mustard and pepper. Cook 1 - 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth and well mixed; remove from heat.
