There is not much to do when making this simple cake, but the results are a delicious cake that everyone will rave about.
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 eggs
1 t. baking soda
1 t. vanilla
16 oz. crushed pineapple, undrained
icing:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 c. coconut
1 c. nuts
1 t. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place first 6 ingredients in a bowl; mix until blended with a fork or a spoon. Pour into 13×9 inch cake pan.
Bake 35-40 minutes.
icing:
Mix butter, sugar and evaporated milk together; cook over medium heat until a little thickened, about 5 minutes at a boil.
Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients. Pour over hot cake.
