Once you make this cake the first time, it will wind up being your go to cake for all occasions. It’s a sweet and super moist cake that is made a marble cake mix, walnuts or pecans and coconut.
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 c. flaked coconut
18 1/2 oz. box fudge marble cake mix
3 eggs (or as directed on cake mix)
1⁄3 c. oil (or as directed on cake mix)
1 1⁄3 c. water (or as directed on cake mix)
1⁄2 c. butter or margarine, melted
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
3 1⁄2 c. powdered sugar
whipped topping for garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter the bottom of a 9 x1 3 inch pan; sprinkle pecans and coconut in pan.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions; pour over pecans and coconut.
Combine butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar; mix well.
Drop in dollops over cake batter.
Bake 1 hour.
Serve with whipped topping.
