Anytime is sangria time. This special sangria is made with red wine, pomegranate juice and blood oranges. Serve with a cinnamon stick and a slice of lemon or blood orange.
1 bottle red wine, preferably sweet
1 qt. pomegranate juice
1 medium cara cara navel orange, sliced into discs
1-2 blood oranges, nice and dark, sliced into discs
1 lemon, sliced into discs for adding to mixture
lemon slices or blood orange slices, for garnish
cinnamon sticks for serving
Mix all the ingredients together in a large container or punch bowl; allow to sit overnight in the refrigerator so that the flavor intensifies.
When serving, add a cinnamon stick and lemon or blood orange slice to each glass.
