Description

Boxed mac and cheese is simple to make, but not very good, so make this incredible mac and cheese instead. It's the perfect dish to bring to fun gatherings or just for your own family at home.

Ingredients

• 2 c. uncooked macaroni pasta
• 1 t. onion powder
• ½ t. dry mustard powder
• 1 can cream of chicken or cream of celery soup
• ½ c. sour cream, regular or light
• ½ c. mayonnaise
• ½ t. pepper
• 3 c. Cheddar cheese
• 1 c. Gruyere cheese (or 4 c. Cheddar cheese)

Steps

1. Cook macaroni to al dente, in well salted boiling water according to package directions, but about 1 minute less than directed, approximately 5 minutes. Drain; rinse under cold water.
2. Combine all ingredients in a 6 quart slow cooker; cook on High 2 hours or Low 3 hours, stirring once or twice.
3. Serve hot.
