Description
This amazing dish can be served for breakfast, as a snack or a dessert. It's so simple to make and fabulous to eat. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream topped with a little cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar.
Ingredients
- non-stick cooking spray
- 10 c. cubed French bread, cinnamon swirl bread or cinnamon raisin bread
- 14 oz. can apple pie filling
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. apple cider
- 3 T. caramel ice cream topping
- 2 T. vanilla
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. granola or oats
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
Steps
- Spray a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
- Place one layer of bread cubes in the bottom of the prepared dish.
- Cut up the apple pie filling into smaller chunks while still in the can. Spoon the filling onto the bread layer, evenly spreading out the apples. Top apples with another layer of bread cubes and pack tightly.
