You've never had baked beans this good or this easy! There are three different kinds of beans, bacon, ground beef, onions, brown sugar, and molasses in this wonderful dish. Combine it all in the slow cooker and forget about it until dinner.
1 lb. ground beef, cooked, crumbled, and drained
1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 T. bacon drippings
3- 14 oz. cans kidney beans, drained
3- 14 oz. cans white beans, drained
3- 14 oz. cans pork & beans, 2 cans drained
2 c. chopped onions from about 3 small onions, chopped 1/2" or smaller
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. molasses
3 T. yellow mustard
Cook bacon; crumble or slice; reserve 2 T. bacon drippings; set aside. In the same skillet, cook ground beef; drain.
Drain all beans, except for 1 can of pork & beans.
Line a slow cooker with a slow cooker liner for easy clean up.
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker; carefully stir. Cook on High for 4 hours or on Low for 8 hours.
Makes 16 servings.
