Description
Make your own pop-tarts at home with better known ingredients. They are better tasting than store bought and are quick and simple to make.
Ingredients
- Pop-tarts:
- 2 rolls refrigerated rolled pie crust (near the biscuits and cinnamon rolls in the store)
- 1 - 2 c. chocolate spread or Nutella
- 1 -2 c. Marshmallow Fluff
- Glaze:
- 4 T. butter, melted
- 2 T. cocoa powder
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 T. hot water
- 1/2 c. crushed graham crackers, optional for topping
Steps
- Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Pop-tarts:
- Roll each pie dough sheet out into a large rectangle. (There are normally 2 sheets in each package). Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut out 16 rectangles. Gather up the scraps and re- roll the pie dough for the last 4 rectangles.
