Perfect Hard-Boiled EggsRecipe preview on Faxo
Recipe

Description
The best hard boiled eggs are not actually boiled in the cooking process. They are brought to a rolling boil and then removed from the heat, covered, and allowed to sit for 12 minutes so that they are not green and rubbery.
Ingredients
- 12 large eggs
- cold water to cover eggs
Steps
- Carefully place eggs in a large saucepan; add enough cold water to cover by one inch; bring to a rolling boil. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand 12 minutes; drain; rinse under cool water.
- Peel hard boiled eggs under cold running water to help wash away any small bits of shell and make it easier to peel.
- Store unpeeled eggs in the refrigerator, up to 4 days.
