Description
There won't be any complaints when you serve these flavorful, crispy fresh green beans with grated Parmesan cheese and basil. They may not be french fries, but are good in their own right.
Ingredients
- 3/4 - 1 lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed off
- 1 T. extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 t. dried basil or freshly minced basil, to taste*
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/4 t. freshly ground pepper, or to taste
- 2 T. grated Parmesan cheese (Kraft)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Rinse, then thoroughly dry green beans; spread out on a rimmed baking sheet; toss with olive oil, to coat. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil; toss to coat.
- Roast for 10 minutes; toss; roast for 5 more minutes. Remove from oven.
