16 oz. package angel food cake mix
20 oz. can crushed pineapple, with juice
12 oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed, for serving, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix and pineapple with the juice; stir until well blended.
Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25- 40 minutes or until golden brown, the sides pull away from the pan and a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack.
Serve with whipped topping, if desired, but it will be more calories, if you are calorie counting.
