These cute cherries are for adults only! They are easy to make. The hardest part is waiting for them to soak and chill.

Ingredients

• 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries (about 24 cherries)
• 5 oz. choice of: amaretto, vodka (any flavor; vanilla or cake would be amazing), fireball, etc.
• 5 oz. white chocolate (almond bark or Candiquik)
• 2 T. sprinkles

Steps

1. Drain liquid from cherries. The liquid can be reserved to use for Shirley Temple drinks or cocktails.) Fill the jar with the alcohol. Replace cap; soak for at least 24 hours. The longer they soak, the stronger they’ll be.
2. Drain the alcohol from the jar. (The alcohol can be reserved for cocktails.) Strain the cherries; place cherries a plate or platter that has been layered with paper towels; pat dry. They need to be as dry as possible before dipping to avoid ruining the chocolate, since Water and chocolate don’t mix.
3. Work in batches, melting 2 oz. white chocolate in a small bowl according to package directions. Dip each cherry in the chocolate; dip in sprinkles; place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Chill to set. Working in batches of chocolate insures that you won't waste any, plus allows for the chocolate to seize from the liquid without ruining the whole batch. Use a new bowl for each batch of chocolate you melt! Disposable paper bowls make it easier with less clean up.
