Party Pesto Pinwheels

Description

These impressive appetizers will make your guests happy. They could also be served as a snack or a light meal.

Ingredients

8 oz. tube refrigerated crescent rolls
1/3 c. prepared pesto sauce
1/4 c. roasted sweet red peppers, drained and chopped
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. warmed pizza sauce, for dipping

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Unroll crescent dough into 2 long rectangles; use fingers to seal seams and perforations. Spread each with pesto; sprinkle with red peppers and grated cheese.

Roll each up jelly-roll style, starting on a short side. With a very sharp knife, cut each roll into 10 slices.

Place cut side down 2 inches apart on 2 un-greased baking sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve hot with warmed pizza sauce, for dipping.
