An easy, economical way to enjoy stroganoff better than the boxed version that you can buy at the store.
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium, onion, chopped
1/4 c. butter
2 T. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic salt or 1 clove of garlic, minced
1/4 t. pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
a little beef broth
1 cup sour cream
2 c. hot cooked egg noodles
Fresh parsley, snipped
In a large pan or skillet, cook ground beef and onion in butter until onion is tender. Stir in flour, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and beef broth to your taste. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Stir in soup and simmer 10 minutes, uncovered. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve over cooked noodles. Top with snipped parsley.
