You can enjoy General Tso's flavor without the chicken. This is perfect for vegetarians who want to enjoy the flavor without the meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, split lengthwise
  • sesame oil
  • 1/4 t. sea salt
  • Glaze:
  • 1 c. freshly squeezed orange juice (from about 1-2 oranges)
  • 2 T. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 t. red chili flakes, or to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 T. arrowroot starch
  • 1/3 c. filtered water

Steps

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet to high heat; drizzle with sesame oil; add Brussels sprouts and sea salt; cook 3 - 5 minutes or until sprouts are golden and crispy.
  2. Glaze:
  3. To a small bowl, add orange juice, vinegar, red chili flakes, garlic and arrowroot starch; mix.
