Description
You'll fall in love with these buttery cookies after the first bite. They are the perfect cookie to make at Christmas or Valentine's Day or anytime of the year. Take them to get togethers or give them as a gift in a pretty decorated bag with a bow.
Ingredients
- ½ c. butter, softened
- ½ c. packed brown sugar
- ½ c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1½ c. all-purpose flour
- ½ t. baking soda
- ¼ t. salt
- ¾ c. white chocolate chips
- ½ c. chopped macadamia nuts
- 1 c. dried cherries*
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheets.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine butter and sugars; use an electric mixer to cream butter and sugars together until fluffy and pale in color, 3-5 minutes. (This is very important to ensure soft, chewy cookies.) Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; use a wooden spoon to carefully stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture, just until combined. Stir in the white chocolate chips, dried cherries and macadamia nuts.
