Let the kids help make these cute, fun fall treats. Start with store bought cupcakes or bake your own if you wish.
12 chocolate cupcakes store bought or homemade
12 oz. canned chocolate frosting
1⁄2 c. chocolate sprinkles (jimmies)
24 pieces bassetts liquorice allsorts, for eyes, so look for ones that when cut have a center
8 oz. thin string black licorice
Frost the cupcakes with the chocolate icing; cover with sprinkles. Press the eyes into place.
Use scissors to cut eight 4-inch pieces of licorice for the legs for each spider.
Holding all of the legs together in a bunch, bend them in half; crease. Push the ends of each leg into the cupcake to resemble spider legs.
