It's apple time and what's better than desserts made with apples? Now you can enjoy the taste of apple pie without all of the time consuming work. They little gems are just perfect individual desserts that are sweet and delicious.
8 oz. package crescent rolls
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
2 t. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped pecans
2 T. butter
1/2 c. caramel sauce, optional
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon; mix with a fork to combine; set aside.
Roll out crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet; use a knife of pizza cutter to separate each triangle.
Melt butter in a microwave safe dish; spread over crescent rolls.
Sprinkle each triangle with the cinnamon sugar mixture and chopped pecans.
Slice apple into 1/4 inch slices; place 1 slice at the wider end of each crescent roll; start rolling dough starting at the wide end to the narrow end; place on the prepared baking pan. Brush with remaining melted butter; sprinkle with additional cinnamon sugar mixture.
Bake for 13 minutes.
Top with caramel sauce, if desired.
Serve.
