Treat family and friends with layers and layers of flavor with these amazing cookie bars. They are made with everyone's favorites, chocolate, peanut butter and caramel.
Ingredients
- Caramel Filling:
- 11 oz. bag vanilla caramels, unwrapped
- 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 T. butter
- Cookie Dough:
- 12 T. unsalted butter
- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 T. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. old fashioned oats
- 2 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1 t. salt
- 2 c. chocolate chips
- 1 c. Reese's peanut butter chips
- 1 c. Heath toffee bits
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Place unwrapped caramels in a small saucepan with butter and sweetened condensed milk; cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramels have fully melted and mixture is smooth.
- Cream butter and sugar together in a large mixing bow; add peanut butter; continue mixing. Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing well after each egg; add vanilla.
