Save time and money and make your own loved seasonal coffee. It's so good and easy, you'll want to enjoy it way past the fall season.
Ingredients
- 2 c. milk, whole or 2%
- 2-4 T. pure pumpkin puree, canned or homemade
- 2-3 T. sugar
- 1/2 t. pumpkin pie spice, plus more for serving
- 1/2-1 t. pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. hot espresso or hot strong brewed coffee
- sweetened whipped cream, for serving
Steps
- Combine milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla in a medium microwave safe bowl; cover with plastic wrap; vent with a small hole; microwave until milk is hot, about 2-3 minutes. Whisk vigorously until milk mixture is foamy, about 30 seconds.
- Pour the hot espresso/coffee into large mugs; add foamed milk; top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
- 2 servings.
