Celebrate Valentine's Day with these cute treats. They are easy to make and make great gifts to loved ones or friends.

Ingredients

• ½ c. white candy melts
• ½ c. pink candy melts
• ½ c. red candy melts
• 1 ½ T. shortening, divided
• 3 c. Chex cereal, divided
• ⅔ c. powdered sugar, divided

Steps

1. Melt ½ c. of one of the colors of candy melts in the microwave; heat for 25 seconds; stir; reheat until smooth.
2. Stir in ½ T. shortening; add 1 c.Chex cereal; stir to coat cereal completely.
3. Place one third of the powdered sugar (about 3 T.) in a ziplock bag; add candy-coated cereal. Close bag; shake for 1-2 minutes. The candy won't be completely sugar-coated since we want the color to stand out, so the pieces will stick together a bit. Space out on a cookie sheet to dry.
