Description

Instead of buying the typical Easter egg coloring kits and dyes, use Kool-Aid. It's more economical, smells fantastic and gives beautiful bright colors.

Ingredients

• hard boiled eggs
• 1 packet Kool-Aid for each desired color
• 1/2 c. boiling Water for each color
• 1 t. white vinegar for each color

Steps

1. Prepare the workspace with towels, paper towels or newspapers. Use empty egg cartons to place the finished dyed eggs, if desired.
2. For each color, choose a packet of Kool-Aid. Add 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 t. white vinegar, and 1 packet of chosen flavor/color Kool-Aid to a cup or mug. Stir until the Kool-Aid is dissolved.
3. Use a spoon to carefully add each egg to the chosen color; let sit for 1-2 minutes or until the desired color is reached.
