Description
This casserole is so easy to make, it's a great for those busy weekdays when time is short. It has a mouthwatering Tex-Mex flavor, that's not spicy.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 oz. taco seasoning mix
- 2 1/2 c. Bisquick
- 1 c. water
- Pam cooking spray
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 4 oz. canned, diced green chiles, well drained
- 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese Fiesta Blend, shredded, divided
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. mild salsa
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat, breaking the meat apart and stirring as needed until no longer pink. Discard excess fat.
- While the meat is cooking, make the biscuit dough. Place the biscuit mix and water in mixing bowl; mix with your hands until thoroughly mixed.
