This is the perfect, delicious side dish to serve at your next gathering. It's simple to prepare with many ingredients that you might already have on hand.
Ingredients
16 oz. frozen sweet peas, thawed
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped, plus 1 more, sliced for garnish
4 - 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled (or 1 c. cooked and chopped ham)
1/2 c. chopped green onions
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 t. black pepper
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. celery seeds (or 1/2 c. chopped celery)
dash cayenne pepper, optional
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. sour cream

Salad:
In a large bowl, stir together the peas, eggs, bacon, green onions, and cheese.
Sprinkle in the pepper, salt, garlic powder, celery seeds, and a dash of cayenne, if using. Stir thoroughly.
In another bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth; pour over the salad; gently stir.
Cover the salad with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Garnish with a sliced hard-boiled egg, if desired.
Serve.
