If you need a quick appetizer dip, look no further than this simple to prepare beer cheese dip. It's creamy, delicious and can be ready in about 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 T. butter
- 3 T. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. beer, favorite
- 1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, freshly grated (NOT packaged pre-shredded)
- 1/2 c. Gruyere, freshly grated
- 1/4 t. paprika
- 1/4 t. garlic
- 1/2 t. Dijon mustard
Steps
- In a medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour; slowly whisk in the milk; whisk in the beer.
- Add in the cheeses; stir until melted.
- Add in the paprika, garlic, and Dijon mustard; whisk until desired consistency is reached. Keep warm in a mini-slow cooker, if desired.
