Grease a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large microwave safe bowl, heat the marshmallows with the softened butter; heat for 1-2 minutes until the marshmallows get puffy.

Mix in several of the food coloring in the marshmallow mixture; mix in the cereal.

Scoop the mixture into the prepared pan, pressing down firmly with a potato masher. Freeze for 15 minutes.

Use a 4 inch circle cookie cutter to cut out the shapes.

Heat the candy melts in the microwave on 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Pour into a decorating bag.

Use the orange melted candy to attach the eyes to the top of the chicks; draw a triangular beak and 2 feet towards the bottom.

Let dry before serving.
