"Red Bull" Fixed Gear & Street Art - Red Bull Ride And Style 2013 USA

On Saturday, May 4, Red Bull Ride + Style will return to San Francisco, reuniting the world's best fixed gear racers and freestyle riders in Justin Herman Plaza. The event also brings together four of the world's top street artists - Risk (Los Angeles), Tristan Eaton (NYC), Insa (London) and Sam Flores (San Francisco) - through collaborative art on both the race course and the freestyle ramps. In creating the six ramps and features that will be on the course, 250 sheets of plywood, 560 two by fours and 5,000 nails were used, along with 30 gallons of primer. Defending freestyle champion, Josh Boothby, visited Pier 19, where the artists were working day and night on creating the dynamic art on the ramps, to check out the progress.
