Taking himself out of the frame altogether, Ryan Gosling wrote and directed the forthcoming film “Lost River” all by his lonesome.

And this morning (May 20) the “Crazy Stupid Love” hunk showed up at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival for a photocall ahead of the big premiere.

“Lost River” boasts a cast that includes Christina Hendricks, Matt Smith, Eva Mendes and Saoirse Ronan and is slated to hit theaters this fall.

Per the synopsis, “A single mother is swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town.”
