Description

These treats are Filipino donuts that are twisted and then rolled in sugar. Enjoy them as a dessert, snack or for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 t. dry active yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 T. oil
  • 1/4 c. white sugar

Steps

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add sugar, salt, oil and 3 cups flour. Mix and knead until smooth.
  2. Use remaining flour during kneading.
  3. Form into a ball; let rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour. This process will double the size of the dough. Punch down; divide into 20 portions.
