Description

This wonderful cake is a winner and should be added to your recipe collection. It's light with an incredible texture and is not super sweet.

Ingredients

  • non-stick cooking spray
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 T. all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1 c. salted butter softened to room temperature, 2 sticks
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 t. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • Topping:
  • 1/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 T. sugar

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a 12-cup Angel Food cake pan or a large 10 cup bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine chopped pecans with 1 T. flour. Stir well; set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour and 1 t. baking powder; set aside.
