The original 'The Awakening' sculpture was casted by artist, J. Seward Johnson and is on display in Maryland. This copy of “The Awakening,” has been permanently installed in a grassy area in Chesterfield, Missouri. The grasping giant was added to Chesterfield Arts‘ public art collection and will be available for public viewing and climbing, forever frozen in an angry state, quite annoyed at being awakened from its underground nap.
