“The Way of the Cross” (A)

Luke 9:23– “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

Comment:
Dear child of God, Jesus sets the uncompromising standard for discipleship: daily self-denial, cross-bearing, and following Him. The “generation of vipers” avoided sacrifice and sought comfort and position instead.

True followers must embrace the cross every single day—denying selfish ambitions, fleshly desires, and worldly comforts.
As we approach Resurrection Sunday, make this your lifestyle. The cross is not a one-time event but a daily reality that prepares you for resurrection power.

When you deny self and follow Jesus fully, you position yourself to experience the same victory that emptied the tomb.
Let nothing hold you back. Easter joy belongs to those who have died to self and now live wholly for the risen Savior. Take up your cross today!
