It's tornado season once more at the "Tornado Alley" and this time it hit Oklahoma City with a god-like fury. Year after year we see people get hurt, properties being leveled and lives lost and while I'm oblige to write this blog piece, I can't help but wonder - is there anythig that we can do to at least prevent the loss of lives? According to the local media about 40% of the people who died in this tornado were all children below the age of 15. This is not only heartbreaking but also unnecessary because I truly feel that we can do better than just give advanced warnings especially with the technology and experience that our engineers have nowadays. Why not build a house designed to withstand tornadoes? Or houses that have an extra underground space that allows for the whole structure to be reeled in and avoid the rampage of twisters completely? It's 2013 for crying out loud we should be ashamed of not doing anything to prevent the loss of lives!
