78,000 People Apply for One-Way Trip to Mars

Humans may one day be called "Martians" as a plan to colonize Mars roughly a decade from now has been initiated by a non-for-profit group from Netherlands called "Mars One." The biggest sacrifice that these enthusiastic humans, which now number over 78,000, will have to live with is not being able to return to Earth once they'll permanently getattached to Mars' environment. Literally a return trip to Earth would kill anyone from the Mars colony. Still a lot of people are willing to sacrifice this much to live a great adventure that will become the first in human history.
