AnnaSophia Robb suits up for summer on the May 2013 issue of Seventeen, which hits newsstands April 16th!

AnnaSophia, the 19-year-old, Carrie Diaries star opened up to the glossy about kissing on camera, missing out on college, and dealing with drama. Check it:

On making out with her co-star Austin Butler: “One of the biggest challenges for us is to be sexy and flirty on camera because we just can’t take each other seriously any more—kissing on camera isn’t that fun! But he’s so cute! He talks about Vanessa [Hudgens] all the time. They’re crazy in love! I don’t think I’m ready to be that in love. They put so much time into their relationship, and I’m too selfish right now.”

On dealing with high school drama: “I think girls are especially worried about being judged, and when you’re in high school, everything seems like a bigger deal than it is. As soon as you’re out, it feels like forever ago—zip-a-dee-doo-dah! So do what you want, and if people are going to judge you for it, who cares? You might not fit in, but that’s okay. Everyone thought I was weird in high school!”

On why she deferred admission to Stanford University: “I’m a spiritual person. So I prayed and thought about it a lot, but I trusted my gut, because what else do you have to go on?”
