“I knew I was going to propose but I didn’t want to do anything that was too cliché, so I came up with this idea about three weeks ago. I have never done anything as big as this before.”

If you're a graffiti artist who wants to propose to your girlfriend, what's the best and unique way to do it? Why, paint a 50-foot mural in a public spot while managing to keep it a secret from your girlfriend.

Henry Barnes wanted to propose to his girlfriend Stacey Smith but didn't want to do something cliche, and so he used his artistic talents to create a giant mural with the words: “Stacey Smith, Will You Marry Me?” in large lavender block letters. Oh and did we mention that there were drawings of Beauty and the Beast characters as well? (Because apparently, it was Smith's favorite Disney movie as a child).

The guy invited his girlfriend for a seemingly innocent trip to drink some coffee when Stacy saw this creation.

“I walked around the corner and just saw the piece, — it was so unexpected I just burst into tears,” Stacy recalled. “It took him two days to finish the thing but he managed to keep it a secret from me."

30 cans of spray and eight hours were invested in this. Well done!
