Of all thespians, it seems Emmy Awards winning actor and television bad ass Brian Cranston of “Breaking Bad” would be the last person to succumb to fan rumors, and also, we thought he could no longer go “badder”.

And there he is, after weeks of fan pressure and speculations if he is up to play Superman’s enemy for life, Lex Luthor if ever Warner Bros. executives summoned him for the job, the critically acclaimed actor finally broke the silence, and his words were not very bad, at all.

"Give me a call…I like Lex Luthor. I think he's misunderstood. He's a loveable, sweet man."

Yes. Those are not typos. Walter White himself confirmed that he is ready to take on a bigger, badder, and more famous role in the shoes of billionaire supervillain. And this creates buzz in the nerd fandom even more as the Emmy Award winning series “Breaking Bad” has also been the stuff of nerd entertainment, and one of its actors crossing to comic book boundaries and at the same time playing the character of one of its most famous foil, is a dream come true.

After the announcement of the Batman vs. Superman movie, fans could only do so much but guess who will be the two biggest superheroes’ villain, and the existence of Lex Luthor is only logical to a world now inhabited by one of DC Universe’s biggest billionaires (we’re talking to you, Bruce Wayne). Not to mention, Luthor’s presence has been constantly hinted in “Man of Steel”, so definitely, he will fit in the sequel.

Also, rumors are surfacing that Mark Strong is also being another contender for the role. But seriously, he’s already Sinestro. Why can’t he just stay that way?
