Summer is almost here and Carrie Underwood is chatting to the press about her big plans for the hot months.

During an interview with Us Weekly, the "Blown Away" beauty said that she plans to work on her upcoming album, but most importantly - spend plenty of time with her hubby Mike Fisher.

"That whole creative process is such a weird thing," the blonde beauty explained. "I get jacked up on caffeine and go to write. Then I come home and crash with a glass of wine."

As for Mike, he lets Carrie do her thing in the recording studio. "I try to stay out of her way!"

Miss Underwood is expected to show up at the CMT Awards this evening, which are held in Nashville, TN.
