After living a long full life and making his mark on the world of fashion, Ottavio Missoni has died at the age of 92 (May 9).
The co-founder of the iconic fashion house died in his Northern Italian home, "surrounded by friends and family."
In 1953, Ottavio and wife Rosita Jelmini (who survives him) founded the brand after designing track suits for athletes, including the Italian National Team.
All their hard work paid off as the company has more than 40 stores around the world, still run by family members.
