SPOILER ALERT
It's the ultimate battle of the two famous bastards of the North! This week's episode has everyone holding or catching their breaths as GOT gave us not one but TWO major and epic battles. Oh, and did we mention that girl power is on full force here?
Let's start with the one in Meereen where Dany is finally back and finds her city under a siege. Tyrion quite humorously tells her about the situation and advises her to try diplomacy first before annihilating everyone. They meet with the Masters where they mock Dany and tells her that her reign is over, to which she simply replied: "My reign has just begun." Drogo then appears and together with his other siblings, they set fire to the fleets. Dany's Dothraki comrades also arrive and slaughter those enemies on land. Yara and Theon arrive to form an alliance which Dany also accepts. Talk about Mother of Holy Dragons indeed!
The show wastes no time and we see Jon's party talk to Ramsey's party. Jon offers to battle Ramsey one-on-one to which he refuses (coward!). Sansa had the greatest one-liner here when she told Ramsey: "You're going to die tomorrow, Lord Bolton. Sleep well." Jon and Sansa also had a heated conversation about Ramsey's strategy in which Sansa reminds Jon that he doesn't know what Ramsey is capable of.
Fast forward to the epic battle and we couldn't help but already choke up a bit as Rickon gets killed in Ramsey's little game. It was devastating to see Jon so close to his brother and even more so when he blindly charges ahead out of rage. Just as we think Snow needs to be resurrected again, his comrades arrive and we get to see an epic battle between the two sides. Jon must be on really good terms with whatever god there is because he had so many near misses! But alas, their numbers really did not stand a chance.
Just as it seemed that Jon's side was doomed to fail, a horn sounded and in comes Littlefinger with Sansa and their reinforcements! An annoyed-looking Ramsey goes to back to Winterfell and plans to wait it out but Won-Won (the giant) comes crashing in the castle before being killed by Ramsey. Jon and Ramsey fight it out but the latter is obviously not a match against Jon. We see Jon punching the life out of the er-other bastard before he relinquishes him to Sansa.
The episode comes to an end with Ramsey taunting Sansa and her feeding him to his hungry dogs (we actually saw it bite off his face). Sansa's somewhat satisfied smirk is the best girl power movement we've seen!
We can't wait for the next and final episode!
