I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP), led by Acting Registrar Sophia Sitati, for their professionalism as we officially changed our name from the Wiper Democratic Movement to the Wiper Patriotic Front.

As we received our new certificate, we were keenly aware of the significance of the timing. Political parties are not static but should be responsive to the people. By becoming the patriotic front, we acknowledge our responsibility to rescue and reclaim our beloved nation from the clutches of tyrannical dictatorship. This informs our slogan #KomboaKenya .

We will make other announcements, including news about the winning coalition. Know that the WPF will field candidates for all electoral offices in the upcoming General Elections 2027.

I was joined by Secretary General Senator Shakila Abdalla, Deputy Secretary General and Makueni County Senator Dan Maanzo, Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua, Kitui Rural MP Hon David Mwalika Mboni, Advocate Ndegwa Njiru, Young Patriotic Front leaders Nixon Virundu and Mercy Mawia as well as several MCAs and party members.
