It was a pleasure meeting Ambassador Christian Turner in Washington, D.C., following the National Prayer Breakfast. Joined by Deputy Minority Leader of the National Assembly and Kathiani MP Hon. Robert Mbui, and Makueni County Senator Dan Maanzo, we had a thoughtful and timely discussion on matters of mutual interest to Kenya, the United Kingdom, and the broader international community.

Ambassador Turner, now British Ambassador to the United States, is a distinguished diplomat who previously served as British High Commissioner to both Kenya and Pakistan. His deep understanding of our region and its evolving dynamics continues to inform meaningful global conversations and partnerships.

Our exchange focused on the enduring Kenya-UK relationship, the critical importance of principled leadership, and the role of strategic partnerships in advancing peace, stability, and shared prosperity. We also discussed governance, regional developments, and the responsibility of leaders to build bridges that strengthen international cooperation.

Engagements such as these reinforce my commitment to fostering dialogues that strengthen Kenya's place in global discourse. I remain dedicated to building partnerships founded on trust, mutual respect, and a shared vision for progress, both for our nation and the international community we serve.
