Jesus is not merely someone I desire. He is the One I cannot live without. I am beginning to understand the difference between treating You as a welcome part of my life and recognizing You as the very source of my life.

A passing desire can wait until the moment feels right. A true need cannot be ignored. I need Your presence, Your strength, Your wisdom, and Your grace every day. Without You, I lose my footing, my direction, and my ability to face what lies ahead.

Teach me to depend on You completely. Remove the habit of placing You alongside all the other things competing for my attention. You are not one choice among many. You are my foundation, my breath, my refuge, and my strength.

I have longed for many things that were never essential. I could continue without them. But I cannot flourish without You. I need You in my thoughts, my decisions, my relationships, my struggles, and every uncertain step before me.

Forgive me for approaching You with a careless heart. Draw me to You with the urgency of someone who knows that life, peace, hope, and salvation are found in You alone. Jesus said, “Apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5, NIV). Let that truth shape the way I live.

Remind me that depending on You is not weakness. It is wisdom. I was created to know You, trust You, and remain close to You. Complete surrender to You is not bondage; it is freedom, safety, and life.

Give me the courage to admit the depth of my need. I do not simply want Jesus near me. I need Jesus to lead me, sustain me, correct me, strengthen me, and hold me together.

Help me live today with wholehearted dependence on You. Let me seek You before everything else, cling to Your promises, and trust Your strength instead of my own. You are not an added comfort in my life. You are my life.
