Harry Potter and writer J.K. Rowling celebrated their birthdays on July 31 and the world rejoiced with them especially since it also coincides with the release of the 8th official Harry Potter book entitled "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." The book is based on the play Rowling herself wrote as well which is centered on the lives of the main characters and their children years after thee defeat of Voldemort.

For her birthday, Rowling got a wonderful surprise which she shared on her Twitter account saying: “I got a cake in the shape of King’s Cross at midnight." The King's Cross is an actual place that was featured in the books. It is where Harry finds Platform 9 3/4 - the gateway to the train that transported us to the magical world of Hogwarts.

We wish more happy years to come for this brilliant author and for the spirit of Harry Potter to continue living on!
