Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj not returning to ‘American Idol’

I've had my misgivings about Nicki Minaj being commissioned to become a judge on the biggest singing contest franchise in the world. Obviously, to judge and critique talent, one must possess a certain level of talent. I don't believe Nicki was ever a real fit for the job to begin with. Although Mariah's departure from the show is an issue more noteworthy. Could it be because of a possible rift between her and her former manager, Randy Jackson? Will Randy still be staying on the show? Although the show doesn't stir up as much hype like it used to, it's still one of the most watched shows on television. Its future, though, looks bleak and uncertain.
