Though Miley and Liam are still reportedly engaged, there was an obvious aloofness and distance between the two when they went to a movie premiere. They talked and mingled with everyone except each other and Liam's family even ignored Miley completely!

Liam himself was really distant, avoiding Miley's attempt to kiss him until it became painfully awkward. They didn't hold hands nor did they really acknowledge each other's presence.
