18-year-old Julia Reidhead wants what any other high school girl wants: a one-of-a-kind perfect prom gown. After trying out tons of prom gowns she finally decided to create her own gown using paint. She and her mother purchased a used wedding dress for $40 and managed to turn that gown into her own version of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". The dress took over 40 hours spread in one week to make.
"I had painted on other stuff before, like shoes, but that made me confident that I could paint on a dress," Reidhead tells Yahoo Shine.
When she went to Prom, everyone's eyes were on her. "People made me stop — they wanted to take pictures, they said they were going to put it on Pinterest and Instagram," she says.
