This image of Daniel, a young boy from the Philippines, doing his homework under the light of a McDonald's restaurant has gone viral and has inspired so many people around the world.

The photo was posted by Joyce Gilos Torrefranca, a student in Mandaue City, who said that the image of the boy diligently studying despite his circumstances really struck her.

“For me as a student, it just hit me a lot, like big time,“ she told ABS-CBN News. "I seldom go to coffee shops to study. And then this kid, he doesn’t have anything but he has dedication to study.”

Daniel's family has been homeless since a fire burned downed their house. But now, strangers and local NGOs have been giving them donations. Daniel even has a scholarship now. Way to go little guy!
