Use your smoker to make the best brownies ever! They turn out rich, tasty and chocolatey with a smoky flavor that everyone will obsess over.

Ingredients

3/4 c. cocoa powder
1/2 t. baking soda
2/3 c. salted butter, melted, divided
1/2 c. hot water
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided

Preheat the smoker to 325 degrees F. Grease an 8x8 baking dish.

In a medium bowl, stir together the cocoa powder and baking soda; add half of the butter; mix well.
Add the hot water; stir until the mixture thickens.

Add the remaining butter and eggs; mix well. Add the dry ingredients and the vanilla; mix until smooth. Add 3/4 c. chocolate chips. Spread in the prepared pan. Top with the remaining 1/4 c. chocolate chips.

Smoke for 1 hour, until just the center jiggles slightly.

Remove from the smoker. Let cool.

Serve.

16 servings.

* Tip: Use milder flavored wood in the smoker like apple or cherry.
